A telehealth appointment is a normal consultation by phone or video. It suits follow-ups, discussing results, mental health reviews, repeat prescriptions and advice when you are unwell and would rather not sit in a waiting room. Some problems still need to be examined in person, and your doctor will say so.
What it includes
- Phone or video, your choice
- Prescriptions sent electronically to your pharmacy
- Referrals and certificates emailed to you
- Results discussions and medication reviews
- Mental health follow-ups
Who it is for
Existing patients, usually those who have been seen in person within the last twelve months. New patients should have their first appointment in the practice.
How to book
Choose “Telehealth” as the appointment type when booking. Your doctor will call you at the booked time; keep your phone nearby for fifteen minutes either side.
