Vaccination is the single most effective thing we do. Each autumn we run walk-in flu clinics with the practice nurse, and COVID boosters, shingles and pneumococcal vaccines are available year-round.
What it includes
- Annual flu vaccine, including enhanced vaccines for over-65s
- COVID boosters as recommended for your age and health
- Shingles vaccine
- Pneumococcal vaccine
- Whooping cough boosters for parents, grandparents and carers of newborns
- Catch-up vaccines for adults with incomplete records
Who it is for
Everyone over six months for flu. Boosters and other adult vaccines depend on age and health; check with us if unsure.
How to book
Walk-in clinics are listed on the notice board. Otherwise book a nurse appointment; no doctor visit is needed for a routine vaccine.
Common questions
Can I have flu and COVID vaccines together?
Yes, they can be given at the same visit, one in each arm.
Is the flu vaccine free?
It is free for eligible groups under most public programmes (young children, over-65s, pregnant women and people with certain conditions). For others it is charged at cost.
